Thank you for visiting the Washington State Developmental Disabilities (DD) Council’s website and reviewing our Internet Privacy Policy and Terms of Use Statement. Our statement notice covers information that may be obtained by us when you use our website.

Information We Collect and How It’s Used

If you only browse this website
During your visit to our web site, if you do nothing more than browse, read pages, or download information, then we collect or store no information from you or about you.

We do have access to site usage statistics provided by our Internet Service Provider to measure which site pages are visited the most often and when. We analyze these web site statistics to determine how our web site is being used, so that we may continually improve the site’s usefulness to our users. We do not collect or store any information that can be used to identify or profile an individual, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, cookies, referring sites, etc.

If You Volunteer Information
If you send us an e-mail, we will collect the e-mail address and the content of the e-mail. The information collected is not limited to text characters and may include any audio, video, and graphic information formats you send us.

We use your e-mail to respond appropriately. This may be to respond to your request for information, to respond to your suggestions, or to further improve our web site with the information you provide.

Personal Information and Choice
You may choose whether to provide personal information on-line. Types of information that you may provide on our website can include: joining our list serve, providing website suggestions/feedback, and submission of events.

Joining the DD Council’s Catalyst Listserv
If you join our Informing Families Listserv your email address will not be shared with other agencies, except Washington State Department of Information Services, the agency with whom we contract for ListServ services. You may join or exit the Listserv at any time, using the instructions at the bottom of each Listserv email you receive.

Providing website suggestions/feedback
When you provide suggestions about our website we will review them and implement them when possible. If you don’t provide us enough information to enable us to fully understand your suggestion, you may be contacted by email to provide us more details about your suggestion.

Terms of Use
Information on the Informing Families Building Trust website is intended to be shared with anyone who can benefit from the information provided. If you use information we’ve developed, we ask that you credit us as the originating source.

Site Liability
The Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council has links to other web sites. This includes links to web sites operated by government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private businesses. When you link to another site, you are no longer on our web site and this Internet Privacy Policy will not apply. When you link to another web site, you are subject to the privacy policy of that new site.

While the DD COuncil does initial checking to establish credibility of any sites to which we link, we do not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information, viewpoints or content published by websites to which we link. Portions of such information may be incorrect or not current. Any person or entity that relies on any information obtained from this system does so at their own risk.
